Seafood Winter Melon Soup

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Separate the egg white and yolk

Step 2
slightly beat the egg whites

Step 3
Slices the ginger

Step 4
Remove the skin and seed of the winter melon, cut into small size

Step 5
Cut the shrimp into small dice

Step 6
Combine the all the seafood in a bowl and marinade for 15 minutes

Step 7
In the pot, add about 1 tablespoon oil, add the ginger and sear the winter melon on all side until golden brown

Step 8
add the seafood and cook until the shrimp turn pink

Step 9
add the chicken stock

Step 10
Bring the soup to boil and cook for about 15 minutes on the medium heat for about 10-15 minutes

Add the corn starch water to your desire thickness

Step 12
Season with salt and pepper

Slowly stir in the egg whites, make sure keep stirring so the egg white will spread evenly

Bring the soup back to boil, transfer to the serving bowl and sprinkle with the cilantro and serve
