Sea Salt and Chocolate Cookie

If you consider chocolate cookie way too simple? Add some sea salt and dark chocolate chips in the dough!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2
Sieve and mix together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder and sea salt.

Step 3
Beaten the butter and caster sugar until soft. Add vanilla extract and mix well.

Step 4
Add the flour into the butter by a few times. Mix well on a low speed.

Step 5
Add the chopped dark chocolate and mix well. Roll the dough into a long log. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set.

Step 6
Cut into 0.5cm thick slices. Place on the baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.

Step 7
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler.

Step 8
Coat the cookie with dark chocolate. Sprinkle with some sea salt and ready to serve.
