Recipe Details
Yule log cake is one of the traditional Christmas desserts. In the 20th century, French put a big log in the fireplace from 13th December to Christmas day, wishing for good harvest next year. It then becomes a yummy dessert.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220ºC.

Step 2
Prepare the roll. Whisk together 90g egg white and sugar until soft peak. Sieve in the almond powder, powdered sugar, cake flour, coco powder and mix well.

Step 3
Slowly add the 30g egg white, whipping cream and mix together.

Step 4
In a baking pan, lay the parchment paper and pour the batter, flatten and bake it for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Step 5
Remove from the oven, lay a parchment paper on top and flip it over. Set aside.

Step 6
Prepare the whipping cream. Beat the butter and sugar until light yellow color.

Step 7
Slowly add the egg white and whisk until cooperate.

Step 8
Melt the chocolate.

Step 9
Gradually add the melted chocolate and mix until combine.

Step 10
Place the roll on a parchment paper, spread the whipped cream on top and roll it tight.

Step 11
Spread the remaining whipped cream over the roll and sprinkle icing sugar. Decorating with Xmas decoration and ready to serve.
