Wagyu Beef with Papaya and Red Onion Salad

Red onion is often eaten raw and on salad. It is a bit spicy but a lot more fragrant. Slice the red onion, toss well with other ingredients and they become a tasty salad.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Cut the long green beans into sections and blanch in water for 1 minute. Drain and set aside.

Step 2
Peel and shred the green papaya.

Step 3
Slice the red onion and cut the cherry tomatoes in halves.

Step 4
In a bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, garlic and palm sugar until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 5
In a large mixing bowl, add the papaya, red onion, cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, red bird chili, dried shrimps, long green beans and toss well.

Step 6
Pour the sauce mixture and toss until the salad is coated with the sauce.

Step 7
Transfer to the plate, sprinkle with the chopped peanut.

Step 8
Season the wagyu beef with some salt and black pepper.

Step 9
In a pan, add some oil and sear the wagyu beef until golden brown on both sides according to the preference on the doneness.

Step 10
Let the beef rest for 5 minutes, slice and place it over the papaya salad and ready to serve.
