Vietnamese Sugar Cane Shrimp

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Cover a baking tray with foil and set aside.

Step 2
Cut the sugar canes into 10cm long, chop the basil leaves.

Step 3
Mix together the shrimp paste, basil leaves, egg white, corn starch, sugar, salt, white pepper, fish sauce and sesame oil. Refrigerate for an hour.

Step 4
Wrap the sugar canes with the shrimp paste mixture. Leave 2cm of the ends empty.

Step 5
Place on the baking tray and spread some oil on top. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 6
Ready to serve
