Veggie Pancake Wrap with Homemade Chinese Donut

Chinese donut is too greasy? Why not make it yourselves? It is actually easy to make and you can control the oil added. With the veggie pancake wrap, it is even less oily!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the Chinese donut. Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, dry yeast, sugar and salt.

Step 2
Place the flour mixture in the mixer, gradually add the oil, warm water and form into dough. Continue and mix for another 4 minutes.

Step 3
Place the dough in a large bowl, cover with plastic and let it sit at room temperature for an hour.

Step 4
Punch the dough 15 times and place on the oiled surface area and knead for 10 minutes.

Step 5
Place the dough in the room temperature and proof again until double the size.Use the rolling pin to flatten the dough.

Step 6
Use the scraper and cut the dough into strips (about 2cm x7cm). Stick 2 strips together, use the chopstick and slightly press in the middle to form a line.

Step 7
Deep fry the dough until golden brown.

Step 8
Prepare the pancake wrap. Slice the cucumbers.

Step 9
In a pan, add some oil on a medium heat. Cook the pancake until golden brown on both sides.

Step 10
Place the pancake on the cutting board, spread the sweet soybean paste over. Place the Chinese donut, cilantro, cucumber, carrot and spicy radish respectively.

Step 11
Roll up the pancake and wrap it with parchment to shape. Cut in half and ready to serve.
