Teriyaki chicken is a very common and popular Japanese dish which is suitable for putting into a lunchbox as well. Marinate it a night before and you can finish cooking it in 15 minutes in the next morning.

Step 1
Mince the garlic. Marinate the chicken thighs with Japanese soy sauce, mirin, Japanese cooking wine, brown sugar, garlic and ground white pepper for 30 minutes.

Step 2
Mix together the remaining Japanese soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar and Japanese cooking wine. Set aside.

Step 3
In a pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add chicken thighs with the skin facing down.

Step 4
Add the sauce and cook until thickened.

Step 5
Slice the chicken thighs and place on the rice. Sprinkle with white sesame. Ready to serve.
