Sweet Potato Chips with Japanese Salsa

Not only potatoes, sweet potatoes can be used to make addictive crispy “potato chips”. With a can of beer, it is impossible to stop eating them!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Clean the yams and cut into thin slices.

Step 2
In a pot, add enough oil and deep fry the sliced yams until golden brown and crispy.

Step 3
Transfer to kitchen paper to soak up the excess grease.

Step 4
Prepare the salsa. Chop the tomato and red onion into small dices.

Step 5
In a bowl, combine the tomato, red onion, kernel corn, edamame, cilantro, lime juice, Japanese soy sauce, mirin and black pepper.

Step 6
Toss well and serve with the sweet potato chips.
