Stuffed Squid with Sticky Rice and Mushrooms

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Soak the sticky rice for 12 hours

Step 2
Drain dry and steam over boiling water on high heat for 20 minutes.

Step 3
Soak the Chinese mushrooms until soft, drain dry. Dice into small pieces

Step 4
In a bowl, combine mushrooms, sticky rice, salt, ground white pepper and mix well

Step 5
With a spoon, add the sticky rice mixture inside the squid.

Step 6
Seal the end with a toothpick.

Step 7
Heat up some olive oil on medium heat, add squid to pan fry until golden.

Step 8
In a separate pan, heat up some olive oil to saute garlic, add red chili powder and tomato sauce, salt, and ground white pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens.

Slice the cooked squid. Arrange on serving plate and drizzle the tomato sauce on top. Ready to serve.
