Stuffed Ground Beef in Daikon

Beef brisket stew is the most common match on beef and daikon. If there is not much time to prepare the stew dishes, why do not try the pan fried method. Not only has the presentation look nice and also tasty. The beef marinade can according to your personal preference by adding water chestnut and some other ingredients to make the texture better.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Clean and peel the daikon. Cut the daikon into 3cm thick.

Step 2
Peel and mince the ginger. Chop the green onion and dice the onion.

Step 3
In a bowl, add the ground beef, minced ginger, chopped onion, Chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, corn starch, white pepper and salt. Mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.

Step 4
Scoop a small hole in the daikon, fill the marinated ground beef in the hole and steam it for 20 minutes. Save the steamed daikon juice.

Step 5
Prepare the sauce. In a pot, add the juice from the steamed daikon, light soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. Bring it to simmer over medium heat.

Step 6
Add the corn starch and cook until the sauce has thickened.

Step 7
Pour the sauce over, sprinkle with chopped green onion and ready to serve
