Strawberry Red Bean Mochi

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Wash and dry the strawberries. Remove the tip.

Step 2
In a bowl, combine red bean paste with crushed pistachio nuts.

Step 3
Wrap each strawberry with the red bean pistachio paste. Form into round shapes.

Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 5
In a bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water. Mix until smooth.

Step 6
Cover the bowl with a cling film. Microwave on medium heat for 1 minute. Remove and stir. Then repeat 4 times, total heating time is 4 minutes.

Step 7
In a tray, add corn starch. Then spoon the mochi (step 4) onto the corn starch to preheat sticky and allow easy handing.

Step 8
With a pair of scissors, cut into equal portions.

Step 9
Coat your hands with some corn starch and flatten each mochi dough.

Step 10
Place a red bean paste wrapped strawberry in the center of the flattened mochi dough.

Step 11
Seal it and for into round shapes. Refrigerate for 10-12 minutes
