Stir-fried Noodle with Sweet Soy Sauce

This is a classic noodle recipe. This dish is always served with congee. It is not easy to make the noodles dry and chewy but it tastes really good!

Step 1
Slice the onion and cut the Chinese chives into section.

Step 2
Rinse the bean sprouts.

Step 3
In a bowl, combine the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, water and sugar.

Step 4
In a pot, bring the water to boil and cook the noodle until separate. Transfer to cold water to let cool. Drain and set aside.

Step 5
In a pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Sauté the onion until fragrant, add the bean sprouts, Chinese chives and cook for a minute.

Step 6
Add the noodle and stir well. Reduce the heat to medium and add the sauce mixture. Toss well, drizzle with sesame oil and transfer to the plate.

Step 7
Sprinkle with white sesame seeds and ready to serve.
