Stewed Chicken with Ginger and Green Onion

Step 1
Cut the green onions into sections. Flatten the garlic and shallots. Cut the red onion into pieces and set aside.

Step 2
Marinate the chicken with light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, Chinese cooking wine, ground white pepper and corn starch for at least 4 hours.

Step 3
In a pot, add some oil on medium heat. Add ginger, garlic, shallots and sauté until fragrant.

Step 4
Add red onions and sauté until fragrant. Add chicken, the marinade and stir fry until the chicken is coloured.

Step 5
Add water and bring to boil. Cover the lid, reduce to medium low heat and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6
Add green onions and mix well. Add corn starch solution, cook until sticky and ready to serve.
