Steamed Shrimp with Lemongrass and Lime

Shrimp is easily cooked ingredient, so can be done by using a rice cooker. By adding lemongrass, lime and fish sauce can bring out the freshness of the shrimp and also give the flavor of Thai.

Step 1
Clean and devein the shrimps

Step 2
Mince the garlic and chop the red bird chili. Finely chop the lemongrass

Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together the lime juice, garlic, red bird chili, lemongrass, fish sauce and sugar

Step 4
Add the shrimp in the mixture, toss well and transfer to the plate

Step 5
Add some water in the rice cooker and press the button until the water is boiling

Step 6
Place a steaming rack in the rice cooker and put the shrimp on top. Steam it for 5-8 minutes or until the shrimp is fully cooked

Step 7
Sprinkle with some cilantro and read to serve
