Steamed Meatball with Chinese Yam

Chinese yam can moisture the skin. Its rich fiber can also help gastrointestinal motility. This is great to enjoy in autumn and winter. If you think it is too bland, why not make meatballs with it?

Step 1
Dice half carrot. Thin slice the other half and spread on a plate. Set aside.

Step 2
Peel and mash the fresh Chinese yam.

Step 3
Add minced pork, diced carrot, egg white, minced ginger, light soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil, salt and white pepper. Stir along the same direction and mix well.

Step 4
Roll into meatballs and place on the carrot slices. Steam on high heat for 8 minutes or until cooked.

Step 5
Place some green onion on top. Ready to serve.
