Steamed Luffa with Double Garlic

Double garlic means minced garlic and fried garlic. The minced garlic is piquant while fried garlic has a little burnt flavor. With the crunchy luffa, this dish goes well with rice.

Step 1
Peel and cut the luffa into pieces.

Step 2
Wash and rinse the lily bulb. Separate the lily bulbs and place in water to prevent turn brown.

Step 3
Slice the red chili pepper.

Step 4
In a bowl, whisk together the light soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil.

Step 5
Place the luffa on the plate, sprinkle the lily bulb, garlic and red chili pepper.

Step 6
Drizzle some oil and steam it for 5 minutes, add the soy sauce mixture and steam it for another 2-3 minutes or until the luffa is tender.

Step 7
Sprinkle with fried shallot, fried garlic and chopped green onion. Ready to serve.
