Steamed Lotus Leaf Wrapped Shrimps in Bamboo Bucket

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Soak the glass noodles in water for half an hour. Drain and set aside.

Step 2
Bring some water to boil and blanch the lotus leaf until soft. Rinse and set aside.

Step 3
Sauté half the minced garlic until fragrant. Mix with the other half raw garlic and season with some salt. Set aside.

Step 4
Rinse the shrimps. Make a shallow cut along the back of the shrimps and devein the shrimps. Remove the heads and legs. Drain and set aside.

Step 5
Place the lotus leaf into the bucket. Layer the glass noodles, shrimps and garlic accordingly. Wrap the shrimps with lotus leaf and steam for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6
Add cilantro, sesame oil and soy sauce. Ready to serve.
