Steamed Goldfish Shaped Dumpling

If you find the shape of ordinary dumplings too boring, try to wrap them into goldfish shape! It looks cute and yummy.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Dice the green onions. Peel and grate the carrot.

Step 2
Mix together the minced pork with the light soy sauce, light brown sugar, ground white pepper, salt, grated ginger, minced garlic, Chinese cooking wine and sesame oil. Stir until sticky and marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 3
Add green onions and mix well.

Step 4
Place some fillings on the dumpling wrapper. Fold it and fix the middle point with water.

Step 5
Fold the right bottom corner to make goldfish's eyes.

Step 6
Flatten the left-hand side of the wrapper with fingers and fold to form goldfish’s tail.

Step 7
Cut the tail twice.

Step 8
Place some minced carrot in goldfish’s eyes.

Step 9
Place a parchment paper in the bamboo steamer. Place dumplings on it and cover the lid. Steam for 8-10 minutes on medium high heat and ready to serve.
