Steamed Daikon stuffed with Shrimp Paste

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and cut the daikon into 3cm thick

Step 2
Scoop the hole in the middle

Step 3
Bring the chicken broth to boil and cook the daikon for 10 minutes. Drain the daikon and save the chicken broth for further use

Use the side of the knife and smash the shrimp into paste

Step 5
Chop the cilantro

Step 6
In a mixing bowl, add the shrimp paste, cilantro, minced garlic, Chinese cooking wine, corn starch, sesame oil, salt and white pepper. Marinate for 5 minutes

Dust the corn starch inside the hole and spread the shrimp paste

Step 8
Steam it for 10-12 minutes over high heat until the shrimp is cooked

Step 9
Bring the chicken broth to boil and add the thicken sauce

Step 10
Cook until thicken and pour it over the stuffed daikon and serve
