Steamed Cod with Shiitake Mushroom

Steaming is the best way to keep food’s nutrients, especially for fish. Cod has less fish bones and tender flesh. Shiitake mushroom is known as king of the mushroom, comes with steamed cod; push these two flavors beyond limit. This simple but grand dish is the best way to show off your well trained skill.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Wash and chop the Shiitake Mushrooms into the thick pieces, shred green onion and the peeled ginger. Chop the red pepper.

Step 2
Wash the cod, marinate it with black pepper, salt, ginger and cooking wine for 15 minutes.

Step 3
Mix the soy sauce for steam fish and cooking wine.

Step 4
Put a flat pan into a Tajine. Place half of the Shiitake Mushrooms on pan, then the cod, follow with another half of Shiitake Mushrooms, shredded green onion, ginger and well mixed soy sauces,

Step 5
Steam for 10 minutes,

Step 6
Add in red pepper, steam for another 1-2 minutes, pull out the heat, let the cover stay for extra 5 minutes, serve.
