Tempura is Japanese-styled fried food made by wrapping seafood and vegetables with mixture of flour, eggs and water. It will be deep fried into golden-yellow color, then served with sweet soy sauce and mashed radish to reduce the oiliness.

The name “Tempura” refers to a way of cooking but not a particular dish. Whatever fillings being wrapped by flour and fried, such as “Vegetable Tempura”, “Seafood Tempura” or “Mixed Tempura”, are therefore named.

I did not give this a try before. So I left 6 shrimps from dumpling ingredients and made Shrimp Tempura. They are crispy on the surface and fresh inside. It tastes better with sweet soy sauce, and probably a good one with fruits as well.
