Shepherd Pie

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery

Peel and potatoes and cut into pieces

Place the potatoes in a pan, cover with water, sprinkle with some salt and bring it to simmer

Cook until tender, drain and transfer to a mixing bowl

Use a masher and mash the potato

Add the butter and cream, mix until smooth

Place in the piping bag

In a pan, add some oil on a high heat. Sauté the onion, carrot and celery until fragrant

Add the beef and cook for 3 minutes until no more pink

Add the flour and tomato paste and stir well

Add the beef broth and mix well

Add the worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper

Cook until the liquid almost absorb, then transfer to the casserole and spread it evenly

Pipe the potato mash on top

Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown

Remove from the oven and ready to serve
