Red Wine Chicken Stew is a very classic French country dish. The fragrance of red wine is very intense and tempting.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Dice the bacon. Halve the button mushrooms. Julienne the onion and cut the carrot into pieces.

Step 2
Rinse and pat the chicken drumsticks dry. Marinate with salt and black pepper for 10 minutes.

Step 3
In a pan, add bacon and stir-fry until fragrant on medium heat. Set aside.

Step 4
In the same pan, add chicken drumsticks and sear until fragrant. Set aside.

Step 5
In the same pan, add onion, carrot and stir-fry until fragrant. Add button mushrooms and stir-fry until fragrant.

Step 6
Add all-purpose flour and mix well. Add brandy and mix well.

Step 7
Add chicken drumsticks, bacon, tomato paste, red wine, chicken broth, thymes and bay leaves. Mix well and bring to boil.

Step 8
Cover the lid. Reduce to medium low heat and cook for 20-30 minutes. Ready to serve.
