Bring the water to a boil on high heat, add red beans to cook for 30 minutes. Reduce to medium heat and simmer for an hour.

Add 2 tablespoons of glutinous rice flour and stir thoroughly.

Finally, add cane sugar and salt. Cook until the sugar has completely dissolved. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your personal taste. You can add water if you the red bean soup is too sweet or add some white sugar if you prefer a slightly sweeter taste.
