Instead of making a Swiss cheese fondue in a traditional way, let’s use a pumpkin to celebrate Halloween! Melt cheese in the pumpkin, with the fragrance of white wine and sweetness of pumpkin. A mouthwatering appetizer dip to serve with baguette.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cover the baking tray with foil.Seed the pumpkin and steam for 10 minutes or until slightly soft

Step 2
Mix together the Emmental cheese, Gruyères cheese, flour, white wine, whipping cream, lemon juice, garlic, salt and black pepper

Step 3
Pour into the pumpkin and cover with the pumpkin top. Place on the baking tray wrapped with foil. Brush the pumpkin with oil

Step 4
Bake for 75 minutes or until the cheese is melted

Step 5
Serve the pumpkin cheese fondue with baguette
