Pistachio Crispy Treats

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Crush the pistachio nuts inside a zip-lock bag

Step 2
On a flat working surface, form a well with the flour

Step 3
Place eggs inside. Form into a dough

Step 4
Flatten with a rolling pin to 1-2mm thick

Step 5
Cut into squares

Step 6
Cut into squares

Step 7
Stack them up, then slice into pieces

Step 8
Heat up some oil to 180 degree Celsius

Step 9
Add the shredded dough (step 3) to deep fry until fluffy and golden, about 3 minutes

In a pot, combine water and sugar to cook on medium heat

Stir until sugar has dissolved

In a mixing bowl, combine the fried flour dough (step 4) with crushed pastachio (step 1) and white sesame seeds. Mix well. Pour in the sugar syrup (step 5) and mix well

Transfer the mixture to a baking tray. Press down firmly to form a rectangular / square-shaped log

Slice into squares and serve
