Pan-grilled Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chop

Black pork chops usually consist of more fat and the texture is tenderer. Glazing with apple cider gives a heavenly sweet and flavorful taste to the pork chops.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Marinate the pork chop with brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and olive oil for 15 minutes.

Step 2
Peel and slice the apple.

Step 3
In a pot, add 250mL apple cider, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, chopped shallot and salt. Bring it to simmer.

Step 4
In a grill pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Add pork chop and grill until golden brown on both sides.

Step 5
Reduce to medium low heat. Flip over the pork chop and brush with apple sauce. Grill for 2 minutes. Repeat this step until cooked. Transfer to a plate.

Step 6
In another pan, add some extra olive oil on a medium heat. Add apple and sear until softened. Add the remaining apple sauce and cook until the water evaporated.

Step 7
Place the applenext to the pork chop. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Ready to serve.
