Moon Shrimp Cake is a Taiwanese street food. After deep-fried, the spring roll wrappers are golden yellow, just like the moon. That’s why it is called Moon Shrimp Cake!

Step 1
Mix together shrimp paste, squid paste, egg white, salt, ground white pepper, corn starch, sugar, rice wine and sesame oil.

Step 2
Spread the mixture over the spring roll wrapper.

Step 3
Spread the mixture evenly with a knife. Cover with another piece of spring roll wrapper.

Step 4
In a pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add shrimp cake and deep-fry on medium low heat until golden brown on both sides.

Step 5
Slice and transfer to a plate. Serve with Thai chicken sauce.
