Mapo Tofu

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Chop the green onion, mince the ginger and slice the garlic. Slice the dried chili pepper

Step 2
Cut the tofu into 1cm thick

Step 3
In a pot, bring the water to boil and blanch the tofu for 1-2 minutes, transfer to cold water to let cool

Step 4
In a pan, add oil on high heat, sauté onion, ginger and garlic until fragrant. Add the pork and cook until half way about 2-3 minutes

Step 5
Add the dried chili pepper, chili paste to mix well

Step 6
Then add the tofu back and water

Step 7
Bring the sauce to boil, add soy sauce, salt and sugar, cook for another 1-2 minutes

Step 8
Add the corn starch water until the sauce is thicken, drizzle with sesame oil and serve
