Loukoumades is a famous dessert in Greece, which can be said as the Greek’s favourite. The tiny-cute outlook and simple ingredients make Mediterranean Sea delicious dessert easy for you, even you are a cooking amatuer! The traditional loukoumades is a hot-serving dish. It is a plain flour batter deep-fried and topped with honey, cinnamon powder and sesame. According to changing taste around the world, you can switch the toppings from honey to chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, maybe add some nuts or ice cream of different flavours. It make this dessert tastier in summer, when you can feel both cold and hot in your mouth.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Mix all-purpose flour, salt, and dry yeast in a large bowl. Add warm water and stir well gently.

Step 2
Cover the mixture with a piece of clean cloth or plastic wrap, put in a warm place for one hour to ferment,add some oil in a pot and heat

Step 3
When the batter double its size and with some bubble, shape it into balls with a spoon and deep-fry in the pot,remove and absorb excess oil with a paper towel.

Step 4
Add honey, cinnamon powder and White sesame. Serve.
