Lamb Casserole with Bean Curd Sheet and Chee Hou Sauce

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Soak the dried shiitake mushrooms in warm water until soft and julienne. Soak the fried bean curd sheet for 15 minutes. Peel, cut the water chestnuts into halves, soak in water and set aside. Cut the green onions into sections. Flatten the garlic with a knife. Slice the ginger and set aside.

Step 2
Bring water to boil. Add lamb belly meat and blanch for 1 minute. Rinse under water, drain and set aside.

Step 3
In a pan, add some oil on medium high heat. Add ginger, garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Step 4
Add lamb belly meat and stir fry for a few minutes. Add shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, Chinese cooking wine, Koon Chun Chee Hou Sauce, Koon Chun Oyster Sauce, water and bring to boil.

Step 5
Reduce to medium low heat. Cover the lid and cook for 1 hour.

Step 6
Remove the lid, add fried bean curd sheet and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 7
Add green onions and mix well. Add corn starch solution and cook until the sauce is thickened. Ready to serve.
