Japanese Tea Rice with Plum

You will always find a unique fragrance of toasted and popped rice in genmai tea. It is an ideal idea to add in ochazuke. The sourness and sweetness of plum gives a more complicated texture to the dish.

Step 1
Brew the Genmai tea leaves with hot water to make Genmai tea.

Step 2
Beat the egg. In a pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add egg wash and cook until done. Julienne and set aside.

Step 3
Sprinkle furikake and nori flakes on top of the rice. Place egg and plums on it.

Step 4
Pour hot tea into the rice until 3/4 full. Ready to serve.
