The chewy Japanese rice cake goes very well with the red bean sweet soup!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse the red beans. Add water until it covers the red beans. Refrigerate overnight.

Step 2
Bring the water to boil. Add red beans and bring to boil on medium heat.Cover the lid, reduce to medium low heat and cook for 1.5 hours.

Step 3
Remove the lid, add cane sugar and cook until melts.

Step 4
Heat a pan on medium heat and brush with oil. Add the rice cake and sear until slightly golden brown on both sides.

Step 5
Put into the red bean sweet soup and ready to serve.
