Italian Easter Bread with Egg in the middle

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
將焗爐預熱180度,把蛋漿掃於麵團上,再把蛋放在麵團中間

並烤焗25分鐘至金黃

Step 3
Combine milk and butter in a bowl and slightly warm up in the microwave

Step 4
add yeast and sugar, make sure the temperature are 43C

Step 5
Slowly mix the butter mixture with the flour

Step 6
knead together until the dough is smooth

Step 7
Cover with the plastic to proof the dough until the dough raise double the size about 30-45 minutes

Step 8
n a parchment paper, punch down the dough and divided into 12 pieces, about 144g each

Step 9
roll each piece into 14” rope

Step 10
Twist two ropes to form a braid and combine both ends to loop the circle

Step 11
Preheat the oven to 180C, brush the top of the dough with the egg wash, place one egg in the center of the “nest”

Step 12
bake in the oven for 25 minutes until golden brown
