Homemade Doughnut

Doughnut is the most popular food in the United States. It is sold in every pastry shop and fast food shop. Everyone loves it. In Asia, donut is mainly as snack food while a lot of people in the United States prefer the doughnuts for breakfast, and they even set up a “National Doughnut Day".

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Add the flour, sugar, salt, yeast and eggs into the mixing bowl of a mixer. Turn on slow speed to mix all the ingredients until becoming a dough

Step 2
Put the dough on the cutting board. Knead the dough until smooth

Step 3
Place the dough into a greased bowl and cover it. Set in a warm place until the size rises double

Step 4
In a pot, add enough oil for frying and heat up the oil around 175°C. Place the dough on a table with flour on the surface. Cut into the dognnut shape

Step 5
Fry in the pot until golden brown. Remove them from the oil. Leave the doughnuts on a tray

Step 6
Halve the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Combine with powered sugar and lukewarm water until becoming smooth texture

Step 7
Place the topping on the doughnuts and let dry
