Herbal Sesame Chicken Hot Pot

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Slice the ginger and cut the green onion into section

Step 2
Clean and cut the chicken into pieces

Step 3
Soak the mushroom until soft and cut into medium

Step 4
To make the soup base, rinse all the herbal and place in a pot with 1.5mL water and bring it to boil

Step 5
Reduce the heat to medium low and cook it for 30-40 minutes. Discard the herbal and save the liquid and the red dates

Step 6
In a pot, add sesame oil on a medium heat

Step 7
Sauté the chicken until fragrant then add the ginger

Step 8
Cook the chicken until golden brown

Step 9
Add the herbal broth with red dates and chicken broth. Bring it to boil and reduce the heat to medium and cook it for 15 minutes

Add the baby bok choi and mushroom, cook it until tender
