Grilled Chicken Shell Pasta with Homemade Béchamel Sauce

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
In a pot, bring the water to boil and cook the pasta according to the package direction. Drain and set aside

Step 2
Season the chicken with salt and pepper

Step 3
In a pan, add oil on a medium heat. Sear the chicken breast until golden brown on both sides

Place in the oven and cook it for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked at 180°C

Stick the clove and bay leaf on the onion

Step 6
In a pot, add the onion pique with the milk and simmer for 20 minutes

Step 7
In a pan, melt the butter and slowly add the flour to combine to make a roux

Step 8
Remove the onion, cloves and bay leaf from the milk, gradually add the hot milk to the roux and whisk it constantly to prevent lumps

Run the sauce through the strainer and bring the sauce back to simmer

Add nutmeg, salt and pepper and continue to cook for another 30 minutes

Cut the chicken into slice and place it over the pasta

Pour the sauce over the pasta, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve
