Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170ºC. Separate the egg white and egg yolk. Add the sugar 4 times in the egg white and whisk until soft peak.

Step 2
Whisk together the egg yolk, vegetable oil and milk. Sieve the cake flour, green tea powder then add the sugar and whisk together.

Step 3
Whisk in 1/4 of the meringue into the egg yolk mixture. Add the egg yolk mixture back to the remaining meringue and slightly fold until combine.

Step 4
Place the parchment paper on the baking tray. Pour the mixture in the baking tray, slightly pound the tray on the surface and let the air bubble release.

Step 5
Place in the oven and bake it for 10-15 minutes. Lay a parchment paper on the cake, flip it over and place on the cooling rack to let cool.

Step 6
Combine the whipping cream and sugar and whip until fluffy.

Step 7
Spread the whipped cream evenly on the cake and roll it to form a swiss roll. Slice and sprinkle with green tea powder. Ready to serve.
