Grass Carp Soup with Chuan Xiong and Sang Ji Sheng

Step 1
Rinse and soak the chuan xiong, sang ji sheng, red dates and set aside.

Step 2
Rinse the grass carp and dry it up.

Step 3
Heat up the pan on medium heat with some oil and ginger. Add the grass carp and sear it until it is golden brown on both sides.

Step 4
Along with chuan xiong, sang ji sheng, red dates and water, boil all the ingredients on medium high heat.

Step 5
Cover the lid, reduce to medium low heat and cook for 2 hours. Season with salt and it is ready to be served.
