The flavour of Osmanthus goes exceptionally well with fermented glutinous rice. Together with the chewy glutinous rice balls, this is a very classic and delicious Shanghai dessert.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Let the fermented glutinous rice rest to room temperature. Bring a pot water to boil and cook the glutinous rice balls until floated. Transfer to cold water and set aside.

Step 2
Bring another pot of water to boil and cook the rock sugar until melted.

Step 3
In 3 bowls, add some glutinous rice balls, 2 tbsp fermented glutinous rice 1 tbsp osmanthus and sweet soup. Ready to serve.
