General Tso’s Chicken

General Tao's Chicken seems like a classic Chinese cuisine dish. In fact, this dish was founded in 1970, Taiwan chef randomly create and name this dish. It is very popular in the United States and also become a well known household names in American, then invert back to China.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Chop the green onion

Step 2
Cut the chicken into pieces

Step 3
In a mixing bowl, add the light soy sauce, sugar, salt and white pepper. Mix well

Step 4
Add the egg and corn starch. Coat the chicken with the mixture

Step 5
Add enough oil for frying on a high heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown

Step 6
Transfer to the kitchen paper

Step 7
Refry the chicken again on a medium heat for another 2-3 minutes. Transfer to the kitchen paper and set aside

Step 8
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, vinegar, white wine, light soy sauce, water, sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic and corn starch

Step 9
Place the sauce mixture in a saucepan on a medium high heat. Add the dried chili pepper and bring the sauce to boil

Step 10
Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the sauce has thickened, add the chicken in the sauce and toss until the chicken has coated with the sauce
