Fresh Chinese Yam Lotus Seed and Spare Rib Soup

This soup is refreshing and sweet while Chinese yam is very good for our spleen and kidney.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and slice the Chinese yam. Soak and rinse the lotus seeds, raw coix seeds and dried lily bulbs. Set aside.

Step 2
In a pot of water, add spare ribs and blanch for 15 minutes on medium heat.

Step 3
In a pot, add Chinese yam, dried lily bulbs, lotus seeds, raw coix seeds, spare ribs and water. Bring to boil on medium heat.

Step 4
Cover the lid, reduce to medium low heat and cook for 1 hour.

Step 5
Season with salt and ready to serve.
