Fish Belly Pot with Ginger and Green Onion

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse, pat the grass carp belly dry and cut into pieces. Cut the green onion into sections. Slice the garlic, shallots and set aside.

Step 2
Marinate the grass carp belly with minced ginger, Chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, sugar and ground white pepper for 1 hour.

Step 3
Mix together oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar and water for seasoning. Set aside.

Step 4
Coat the grass carp belly with corn starch well.

Step 5
In a pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add grass carp belly and shallow-fry until cooked. Set aside.

Step 6
In another pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add ginger, garlic, shallots, green onion and sauté until fragrant.

Step 7
Add grass carp belly. Drizzle Chinese cooking wine around the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on medium low heat.

Step 8
Add seasoning sauce and mix well. Ready to serve.
