Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat an oven to 200°C.

Step 2
Prepare the crust. Beat the butter and sugar until light yellow.

Step 3
Slowly add the egg wash and beat until combine.

Step 4
Add vanilla extract and mix well.

Step 5
Sieve in the cake flour.

Step 6
Put on Vileda Multi Sensitive Disposable Gloves and knead it into a dough.

Step 7
Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 8
Sprinkle some flour on the surface area.

Step 9
Roll the dough to about 0.5cm thick.

Step 10
Cut into disc shape with a cookie cutter. Place into tart molds. Slightly press and trim off the edge.

Step 11
Poke some holes with a fork.

Step 12
Prepare the filling. Whisk the egg white. Add milk and sugar. Mix well and sieve.

Step 13
Pour into the crust until 80% full.

Step 14
Add some bird’s nest.

Step 15
Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce to 150°C and bake for another 8-10 minutes or until the egg white mixture is set.
