Dried Cabbage Roasted Duck Congee

What do you do with the leftover roasted duck? This recipe gives you a wonderful idea of dried cabbage roasted duck congees. Make sure you cook more for second serving.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse the rice and mix it with some oil and cover with water for half an hour

Step 2
Separate the meat and the bone of the duck

Step 3
Soak the dried cabbage for 30 minutes

Step 4
Squeeze off the water and cut into strip

Step 5
In a pot, bring the water to boil and cook the duck bone for about 30 minutes to let the flavor come out

Step 6
Remove the bone then add the rice, dried cabbage and cook it for about 45 minutes to an hour on a medium low heat

Step 7
Make sure keep stir every 10 minutes to prevent the rice stick at the bottom

Step 8
Add the shredded duck meat and cook it for another 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and serve
