Deep-fried Fermented Tofu Chicken Nugget

Fermented bean curd also called it as Chinese cheese. It has a unique salty taste, use it to marinate the chicken and deep-fried. It became a wine pairing snack.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Cut the chicken into pieces

Step 2
Marinate the chicken with spicy fermented tofu, light soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, minced garlic, minced ginger and white pepper for 2-3 hours

Step 3
Dredge the chicken with the sweet potato starch

Step 4
Deep fry until slightly golden brown on a medium high heat

Step 5
Remove from the oil pot

Step 6
Turn the heat to high and re-fry the chicken again to golden brown

Step 7
Transfer to the plate

Step 8
Sprinkle with spice salt and ready to serve
