Peel the pumpkin and remove the seeds. Cut into medium chunks

Peel and slice the lotus into 0.5-cm thick pieces

In a small mixing bowl, combine egg, flour and corn starch

Steam over boiling water on high heat for 6 minutes until pumpkins are soft and fully cooked

Allow the pumpkin to rest for 5 minutes then mash it with the back of a spoon

Carefully add a spoonful of pumpkin mash in the middle of 2 slices of lotus

Brush both sides with the egg mixture

Pan fry the prepared lotus pumpkin patties until golden on both sides on medium heat
