Soup has a very important role in Western cooking. Western cuisine often serve soup before serving main dishes. Cream of mushroom soup is French, mainly using mushroom to give this simple and rich recipe its bold flavor.

Step 1
Chop the onions, mince garlic, cut the mushroom into sections of four.

Step 2
Heat up a pot, melt the butter. Add onion, minced garlic to saute until aromatic. Add bay leaves.

Step 3
Add mushrooms to brown.

Step 4
Add white wine and quickly saute. Add water until all of the ingredients have submerged. Bring to boil on high heat, then reduce to low heat to simmer until mushrooms are fully cooked, about 5 minutes

Step 5
Transfer the soup into a blender to blend until smooth

Step 6
Pour the mushroom soup back to the pot, add whipping cream, salt, and white pepper. Bring to a boil. Then, reduce to low heat and simmer. Transfer to plate. Garnish and serve
