Conger Boiled Abalone

Conger boiling is a Japanese cooking method. With the use of soy sauce and kombu, it can keep the freshness of the seafood and make them taste flavorful.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and cut the daikon into pieces.

Step 2
Clean and brush the abalones. In a pot, add water, abalones, ginger and green onion. Bring the water to simmer and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3
Remove the shell, internal organs and impurities.

Step 4
In a pot, add the daikon, abalones, Japanese soy sauce, mirin, concentrated kombu sauce and water.

Step 5
Bring it to boil and add the brown sugar.

Step 6
Reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 2 hours. Remove from the heat and let it sit until the water is completely cool.

Step 7
Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours and ready to serve.
