Classic Pecan Pie

Save room for dessert at your Thanksgiving feast! This is an amazing pecan pie. Once you start eating it you cannot stop.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat an oven to 165°C.

Step 2
Combine together the flour, salt, sugar and chilled butter cubes with a kitchen aid for 2 minutes. Add ice water and keep beating until completely combined.

Step 3
Place the dough onto the working table. Knead into round dough, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Step 4
Dust some flour on hands. Flatten the dough with a rolling pin to about 0.3 cm thick.

Step 5
Transfer the crust dough onto an 8” pie mold with the rolling pin and trim.

Step 6
Prepare the filling. Mix together the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla seed, rum and salt. Add melted butter and mix well. Add roasted pecan and mix well.

Step 7
Pour the filling onto the crust. Bake for 55-60 minutes.

Step 8
Let cool. Serve with ice cream and caramel.
